Posle godina i godina korishcenja FF-a, Safari-a, cak povremeno i IE-a sam skinuo ovo da probam i jednostavno sam odushevljen. Inace FF sam najduze koristio, medjutim nakon verzije 3.5 koja je TUGA najblaze receno sam tragao za novim, koristio Safari i reko ajd da probam operu i samo reci hvale, brza, jako lepo radi, ne spucava se i shto mi se posebno svidja ne loaduje slike iz spojlera dok se isti ne otvori. Mozda je to moglo i u drugima da se podesi, ali ovde je to "fabricki" ...

Definitivno ostajem na Operi do daljnjeg

Here's another Unite build for testing.

As you can see, the changelog isn't very big this time around. This is partially due to a seminar we attended last week, but a lot of the desktop resources have been moved to the next "major" version of Opera as well. We are not quite ready to share any details about this yet, but stay tuned.

I won't go into too much detail about the seminar either, but among the subjects that were covered were some plans for the next couple of major versions of the desktop browser, and some pretty awesome news for Opera Mobile and Opera Mini users. You will have to visit the Opera Mobile and Opera Mini blogs for more on that, though, when the time comes.

Work on Unite in 10.10 will continue, so expect more Unite builds in the near future.

A lucky build?

Do you feel lucky? Well do you, Opera user?

This lucky build was born on Friday 13th! As luck would have it, it became an RC for Opera 10.10. That means that you are lucky enough to get to report any critical bugs, regressions, and so on, before we release it.

This no longer installs in the snapshot/beta path, so watch out for that or you could quickly run out of luck. (The default startup page still says beta, and that is because as far as the rest of the world is concerned, the latest official version of 10.10 is a beta.)

We're continuing our polishing of Opera 10.10, so here's a new build with some important fixes.

Opera Link should be working without having to log in every time you start Opera. We have also fixed a crash in the Unite setup wizard, and fixed a bug where the Unite password is remembered even if "remember password" is unchecked.

The default message in Opera Mail is now translated again.

After having released our final version of Opera Unite, we are proud to present you with the next level of Web applications for your desktop. Just a short while ago, we have released a Labs version, previewing our new approach to widgets: Opera Widgets are now first-class citizens in your computer, being accessible from the same place as other applications and providing the chance to develop desktop applications only once, running in any operating system.

We have listened to your feedback after the first Labs release. Improvements are already in the pipeline to enhance the experience of Opera Widgets within the browser, but please share all your comments and suggestions to help us make an even better product for you.

Da ne otvaram novu temu, smatram da je ovde najbolje mesto da se povremeno ubaci link i za OperuUSB verziju.Moze se koristiti kako na desktop-u i laptop-u tako i sa flash-a direktno, ne ostavlja nista po registry bazi i po default-u je iskljucen disk cache, na disku zauzima 13MB. A new JavaScript engine called Carakan, after the Javanese script, will be used in future Opera versions after Opera 10. According to Opera Software, Carakan is 2.5 times faster at the SunSpider benchmark than the Opera 10 alpha engine. Also in development are improvements to Opera's vector graphics library, Vega, that enable it to be used for all of the browser's rendering, allowing platform specific rendering code to be replaced with code for Vega. This will help Opera implement some advanced CSS3 properties, such as backgrounds and borders. The new version of Vega will also allow hardware acceleration with optional OpenGL and Direct3D backends.

Faviconi tabova su premali, bookmarks toolbar je nesrazmerno povecan/smanjen, a ikonice su neke "leve". Ili neki koji kombinuje ikonice 10-ke i izgled tabova iz 9.5/6-ice? Ili jos bolje, neki custom,nenametljiv, preporucen bu illke skin?

2. Sta treba da podesim da adress bar bude iznad tab bar-a?

* Carakan

Carakan is our new JavaScript engine. It’s fast, more than 7x faster in SunSpider than Opera 10.10 with Futhark on Windows (Mac optimization is not as far along). You can read more gritty details regarding register-based bytecode, automatic object classification and native code generation in the Opera Core blog.

* Presto 2.5

We are now using Presto 2.5, which contains a huge numbers of improvements. It also includes support for CSS3 transitions and transforms, and more HTML5 features like persistent storage.

* Vega

Vega is our new graphics library. It’s currently software based and displays everything you see on-screen. Vega can be hardware accelerated, but as you can see from the complex graphics benchmark in Peacekeeper, we don’t seem to need it yet. (Note that Futuremarks Peacekeeper test does no include the results of their complex graphics tests in the overall score. We believe this is wrong in 2009 and will simply be silly if not changed in 2010.)

* Platform integration

On Windows 7/Vista, you will notice a lot of visual changes and use of APIs which allow the UI to display the Aero Glass effect. For Windows 7, we also added Aero Peek and Jump List support to easily access your Speed Dials, Tabs, etc. from the Taskbar.
For Mac, a complete rewrite in Cocoa brings an Unified Toolbar, native buttons and scrollbars, multi-touch gestures (try 3-Finger Swipe Left/Right or Pinch to zoom) and a bunch of other small details. We also added Growl notification support.

* “Private tab” and “Private window”

You can open a new Private tab or Private window that forgets everything that happened on it once closed.

* Non-modal dialogs

Dialog boxes (JavaScript alerts, HTTP authentication, etc.) are now non-modal and are displayed as a page overlay. This allows you to switch tabs or windows while the dialog is still displayed. Similarly, the Password Manager dialog is now anchored at the top of the page won’t block any content as it loads a new page.

* Address field and Search field improvements

Both fields have been upgraded in looks and functionality. They can now remember searches, support removing items from history and show results in a better layout.
