Opera 10.50.3266 Beta

Here's another Windows build.

HTML5 <video> should be working again, and we reverted the fix that caused the crashes in Windows 7. The changelog is basically:

Fixed: DSK-282162 <video> element no longer working
Reverted fix: DSK-278062 File icons in the download dialog are stretched

You can now watch the video from Friday's Mac build on Windows too.

Thanks to those of you who gave us feedback on upgrading for the previous build! Do let us know if anyone finds any further problems when upgrading.

Opera 10.50.3271 Beta

Here is a new build with some nice Core updates.
Our core department has been working on improving Opera's cache, and this is the first build with these updates.

This build should also be more stable on Windows after running a long time due the fixing of a GDI leak which could cause crashes and freezing tendencies.

Opera 10.50.3290 Beta

It's a snowy day here in Oslo, Norway, so what better way to spend the afternoon than with a new snapshot?

As you can see from the changelog, this build has a couple of fixes, and further fixes are expected in upcoming snapshots. At this stage, we are particularly interested in any recent regressions you may find.

We would also like to know if you are experiencing any new problems with the cache in the last few builds. There's a forum thread about new cache issues. It should be noted that some of the issues discussed in that thread are probably fixed in this build (CORE-28155: Opera downloads already cached items, ignoring cache settings). Let us know if you find anything.

Please note that there are no Mac or Unix builds, and HTML5 <video> is not working.

Opera 10.50.3291 RC for Windows

You might have noticed that the 10.50 snapshots contain a lot more changes and fixes than usual. This is the result of our increased focus and has sped up the development process significantly.
Thanks to the hard work of the Opera engineers Opera 10.50 for Windows has now reached RC status.
We hope you like the new speed of development because we plan to work as hard to finalize 10.50 for Unix and Mac.

Video seeking
This build build mainly includes stabilization fixes, but also a new feature in (html5) video: It's now possible to seek through videos that are not completely downloaded yet. If you skip forward in a video, Opera will adjust the download process so you don't have to download the part that you are not going see.

Opera 10.51 build 3309

This Opera 10.51 build brings a few important fixes to the e-mail client. We have also been working on stability, and some tweaking of performance related to JavaScript timers, which should lead to smoother animations in some cases. Some bugs related to customization have been addressed as well, along with fixes to Opera Link and bookmarks handling.

It's difficult to summarize and highlight specific fixes, as most of them could be important to different groups of people. Just take a look at the changelog, and let us know if you spot any regressions.

Unix users can check out a better looking Opera in a separate snapshot and Mac users should look for further updates in a few days or so.
