Corsair's HX-series power supplies are widely regarded as some of the very best, and the Californian manufacturer is today teasing two new models that will be launched before the end of the month.

The upcoming HX750W - pictured below in pre-production form - and a second of unknown wattage will arrive at retail with the familiar HX-series aesthetics, at least 80+ Bronze certification, flat-black modular cables and a new customised fan-speed profile to ensure quiet operation when under load.

Following last week's tease, the newest members of Corsair's HX series of power supplies, the HX750 and HX850, have revealed more about themselves even though their maker has yet to launch them. Measuring 150 (W) x 86 (H) x 180 (L) mm, the 750W and 850W units are ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V 2.91 compliant, feature a double forward switching circuitry design which enables an efficiency of up to 90%, 105ºC rated industrial grade capacitors, come with flat modular cables, a MTBF (mean time before failure) of 100,000 hours and are each cooled off by a 140mm double ball-bearing temperature-controlled fan.

Both PSUs have a single 12V rail (62A max current for the HX750, 70A for the HX850), are backed by a 7-year warranty and are expected to become available soon at about £120 and £140.
