Moja konfiguracija
Intel launched today its first 32-nm processors based on Westmere architecture. 17 dual-core models were launched, including versions for desktops (codename Clarkdale) and notebooks (codename Arrandale). The novelty is that these processors feature an integrated graphics controller (GPU) and an embedded memory controller. These processors also supports Hyper-Threading technology (except Pentium G9650 model) and, depending on the model, Turbo Boost technology, which allows the CPU to increase its clock when the computer demands for more processing power.
Interesting enough is that these new processors feature a two-die design: one die containing two 32-nm processing cores and other 45-nm die containing the memory controller and the graphics controller.
Intel has also launched three chipsets for these new processors: H57, H55 and Q57.
