Kako ukloniti .NET Framework Assistant for Firefox?

In Registry Editor:
- Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Extensions
- Delete value {20a82645-c095-46ed-80e3-08825760534b}
In Firefox:
- Go to about:config
- enter microsoftdotnet in Filter
- Right-click general.useragent.extra.microsoftdotnet
- select Reset.
- Restart Firefox.
In Windows Explorer
- navigate to
c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Windows Presentation Foundation
- Delete DotNetAssistantExtension folder

Zašto gajiti unutar ne-M$ browsera nešto što je potencijalno podložno raznim pro-M$ malware-ima? Ionako ovo ne služi ničemu...

The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 update, pushed through the Windows Update service to all recent editions of Windows in February 2009, installs the Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant firefox extension without asking your permission.

This update adds to Firefox one of the most dangerous vulnerabilities present in all versions of Internet Explorer: the ability for websites to easily and quietly install software on your PC. Since this design flaw is one of the reasons you may've originally chosen to abandon IE in favor of a safer browser like Firefox, you may wish to remove this extension with all due haste.

Unfortunately, Microsoft in their infinite wisdom has taken steps to make the removal of this extension particularly difficult - open the Add-ons window in Firefox, and you'll notice the Uninstall button next to their extension is grayed out!

If you take a look at the installed add-ons in Firefox you might notice an add-on called Microsoft .net Framework Assistant. That add-on is different from most other installed add-ons. The first thing that you will notice is that you cannot uninstall it as the uninstall option is inactive in Firefox. You might also realize that you did not install that add-on actively which means it must have been installed by another application.

Da ne bude zabune, ovo je delimično krivica i Mozille - zašto su dopustili ovakvo ponašanje M$ update-a? Sama pomisao da postoji mogućnost da neki hakeri upadnu u Win Update server i odatle "gurnu" desetinama miliona korisnika FFa neki "backdoor" kao legitimni update, meni zvuči blago jezivo

Ne znam Sad pogledah kod devojke (Win7) i ni tamo ga nema. Možda je ovo vezano samo za XP?

Onda moras prvo da instaliras, da bi odradio ovo iz prvog posta.

Sto je najgore postoji mi u add-ons ali ga nema taamo gde je navedeno!!! Btw koristim XP

ja ga imam u FF u AddOns, OS je W7 x64

edit, nemam ga vise

Nakon uklanjanja ove "extenzije", čini mi se da se FF pokreće prilično brže (surf i ostalo radi isto, pričam samo o pokretanju FFa).

Takođe, automatski apdejt nudi da se ponovo instalira ovaj dodatak:

Treba odbiti to i nakon toga čekirati opciju da se taj apdejt više ne nudi.

E sad mi nista nije jasno, nasao sam ga u regeditu i obrisao, ali zasto se onda nije pojavljivao u about:config-u?!

Ako M$ bude dovoljno vredan i instalira dovoljno dodataka za FF na kraju će možda uspeti da FF potpuno transformiše u IE. Već vidim plugin koji Gecko engine zamenjuje Tridentom.
