My Book World Edition II
Western Digital has launched a dual-drive 4TB NAS system with RAID 1 support and continuous backup software.
The My Book World Edition II NAS is based on two Caviar Green drives in 1TB or 2TB capacities, for a total of 2TB or 4TB respectively. It can be connected to a wide variety of devices, ranging from computers to TVs and gaming consoles. Apart from gigabit Ethernet, you can also connect it via a USB 2.0 connector and use it as plain removable storage.
It is available now, and the MSRP for the 4 TB unit is £599.99, while the 2 TB model ends up at £369.99. Its biggest shortcoming? It's apparently only available in white.
