SourcePentium dual-core
Intel is working on an additional speed update of its Pentium dual-core series, and the newest addition is will simply be a faster edition of the E6300.
The mentioned Pentium dual-core E6300 works at 2.8GHz, has FSB 1066 and 2MB cache, while the new E6500 works at 2.93GHz, has the same FSB 1066 and 2MB cache.
The TDP for this 45nm Wolfdale based dual-core remains 65W while, at launch it should sell for $84. This CPU will show its face in Q3 and the current plan is to keep the E6300 to coexists and E5x00 series of the same CPU with FSB800 will continue to sell for $74 and below.
