Hyundai launches the X900 tablet

While not widely known in Western countries for their electronics, Hyundai has produced a number of low-cost tablets in recent years. The South Korean company recently released a new model called the Hyundai X900.

The new tablet features a very impressive 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display, a quad-core Rockchip RK3188 ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB internal storage. It runs on Android 4.1 and offers great connectivity options: 3G, 802.11 b/g/n wifi, and Bluetooth. Other features include front and rear-facing 2 MP cameras, a MicroSD slot that supports up to 32 GB cards, a micro USB port, and 5 to 10 hours battery life.

The X900 offers a lot when you consider that it is currently selling online in the United states for as little as US$238. The ultra-high screen resolution is particularly surprising for a budget device, and is something we're more used to seeing on an Apple Ipad that costs at least twice as much.

Unfortunately the combination of ultra-high definition and low price don't seem to always come together seamlessly, and early reviews report a sometimes sluggish experience. Still, the X900 shows that ultra-HD displays don't have to come for a premium price anymore and we can likely look forward to better in the near future.

vozim hyundai coupe, a rado bi vozio i ovaj x900 to je cena oko nexusa 7...samo sto je 10inca i duplo veca reza i duplo vise rama...jes da nema gps, al ko ce da kaci 10inca na soferku da mu sluzi kao gps xD lakse rasiriti kartu od metar i po pa koordiniraj

Dobro je što takvi displeji silaze u mase, mada bi bilo bolje da je 16:10. Mogu se uskoro očekivati slični kinezi za ~200e.
