Performance wise there is little to complain about. The LMX is better than the competition in every benchmark. The low RPM fan tests show that the cooler is efficient at actively removing heat. The passive tests shows it even clearer as the LMX outperforms the NH-U12 by nearly 20 degrees during load. We can warmly recommend running LMX together with two silent 120mm fans for the best possible experience.
That was where we expected to cooler to perform well, but Danamics has managed to build a cooler that also does well during heavy loads as well. LMX had the most headroom for overclocking and it handled the big load from our 4GHz Core i7-920 the best. Frankly, LMX is the best cooler of the roundup, and considering Noctua NH-U12 is usually considered the cream of the crop of air cooler you might even go as far as saying the LMX is the best cooler on the market.
The price is of course what will put most buyers off, 159€ (+ taxes) is a lot of money for cooler, but then you get a cooler that is truly high-end. It's performance with passive cooling is unmatched today, and with fans it beats all our references in practically every benchmark.
