By the end of November ASUS will arrange an overclocking competition at DreamHack, Jönköping, Sweden, with some of the best overclockers in the world. We will be there covering the event and hopefully we will see some world class overclocking results. ASUS has revealed that it will be showing a new product there, a P55 motherboard that will be used in the competition.
Not surprisingly ASUS Maximus III Extreme is built for overclocking and satisfy enthusiasts with loads of interesting features. Intel's P55 chipset supports the latest LGA1156 processors and judging from the list of specifications we've seen this board is something above the rest.
The motherboard also has a unique function with its LN2 Mode Header jumper that, when activated, optimize the performance of the board when cooled by liquid nitrogen. The jumper is said to trick the internal temperature diode of the CPU and reduce coldbug issues.
