With DisplayPort output Sapphire is apparently preparing a new card based on the RV790 GPU, the HD 4890 Vapor-X. The card has the same cooler that we had a chance to see on HD 4870 Vapor-X card and has DisplayPort output. The new Vapor-X cooled HD 4890 works at reference clocks of 850MHz for the GPU and 3,900MHz for 1GB of GDDR5 memory. It has 800 Stream processors, a 256-bit memory interface and a rather interesting choice of output ports. In addition to the DVI, D-Sub and HDMI outputs, Sapphire has decided to include a DisplayPort output as well. The card should appear in e-tail/retail pretty soon and we hope that Sapphire will have an overclocked version as well.
